PATIENT ACCESS
The MEDIBRIDGE.NET. Patient Portal is designed to give your Patients access to the Clinical Documents in your organization’s XDS.b Data Repository . Its designed with the idea that better access to information improves patient’s healthcare experience and loyalty. The Patient logs in and sees a user-friendly view of their C32 Continuity of Care Document including all relevant problems, allergies, procedures, medications, notes, lab results. The Portal also serves up portable C62 documents for unstructured docs such as Text, PDFs and TIFF images in their medical record. It lets Patients download these documents to a disk for future reference and portability. Online Patient Access is required for both hospitals and providers looking to meet Meaningful Use standards.
PATIENT SHARING
The Patient Portal also allows patients to send their information directory to their Microsoft HealthVault account via a Direct Message, or to any Third Party that support national HIE standards. Enabling patients to share their records in key to keeping them engaged in their healthcare.
PATIENT PRIVACY
The MEDIBRIDGE.NET. Patient Portal also provides the Patient with a rich, set of industry-standard technologies that enables them to manage the privacy of their personal health information relative to HIE. Patients can configure their privacy preferences, which are stored in a XACML Privacy Policy document in the XDS.b Data Repository alongside their medical records. Privacy Policies can be defined based on most Document/Request meta-data. The NwHIN Gateway’s Privacy Policy Engine evaluates the identity and purpose of a Request for Information and only provides access to those persons and organizations that the Patient has granted access to. Base access for third parties may be defined by your Organization as well.
